Our 2018 Phidias routers are professional 3D CNC machines with an extremely attractive price-to-feature ratio. Our 20 years of experience in machinery design, manufacturing and servicing allowed us to create a robust, fast and modern series of routers meeting the expectations of today's market.
The completely new steel frame not only provides a robust and durable machine table resulting in high-quality items, but is also modular and can be easily transported and installed in hard-to-reach areas (a 90 cm wide door opening is sufficient even for the larger 2050x3050 mm model).
We've decided to equip these routers with - among others - servo drivers, helical cog gears and profiled linear rails of well-known and respected manufacturers to enable the max. transit speeds of up to 30.000 mm/min. while maintaining very high quality of the finished product. We're also proud these routers themselves are considered by our customers of a visually pleasing design. They come with a great choice of optional accessories which should make them suitable for a wide variety of applications.
The control system consists of our well-know and appreciated MegaCut and MegaCut 3D set of applications - the ease of use and low learning curve will get you up and running on day 1. As always, both MegaCut applications come with unlimited, free updates for all MegaPlot customers.
All Phidias routers come standard with the already high max. transit speed of 15 meters/minute. Should you wish to reach the full potential of your Phidias 3D CNC router, this option will double the max. speed to impressive 30 meters/minute to save on tooling time.
This feature is only available for new machines at time of order as due to the required mods and improvements it cannot be easily added to an existing machine.
Each Phidias router comes with two proprietary applications: MegaCut 2D with Hpgl.plt (e.g. CorelDraw), dxf (e.g. AutoCad) and G-Codes (e.g. VisualMill, SolidWorks) support as well as MegaCut 3D with RAW support (e.g. Rhinoceros 3D). These user-friendly applications offer a number of useful settings and features enabling the operator to configure conveniently all the parameters of a cut, such as the cutting speed, spindle rotation, order and direction of cutting and many, many others.
